MEET THE TEAM
ANGUS HUMFREY
Coming from a horse orientated family, Angus started his riding career at a very young age. He successfully competed in the sport of Eventing with FEI Ponies through to the Under 25’s Advanced division. Angus divides his time producing his own string of top jump horses at home and competing in the show jumping arena, campaigning young horses through to national and international 1.40 classes. Angus thrives on working with the young horses and producing them successfully through the levels.
JADE DETER
Jade grew up in Canada and started her riding career on a Quarter horse, riding Western. When she was 10 years old she discovered her love of dressage and has since successfully competed from FEI Ponies to Young Riders, proudly representing her country on several occasions. In 2007 Jade and her horse, Mastermind, were triple gold medalists at the North American JR/YR Championships. Since moving to the UK in 2009 Jade has trained with Carl Hester, Gareth Hughes and continues to train with Charlotte Dujardin. Jade’s passion lies in teaching and training riders of all levels, helping them achieve the very best of partnerships with their horses. Credit: Charlotte Bury Photography
PATRICIA CALDWELL
Pat has been an integral part of the Platinum Stud team for 6 years now. Pat comes from Canada and moved to the UK to further her love and knowledge of Eventing & Showjumping. Partnered with Sandra Bucknell’s horse Scruffy, and her own horse Shimmer, Pat has successfully competed at Pre Novice eventing and Newcomers Show jumping. Pat is an invaluable member of our team, striving in helping us achieve the absolute best standards of horse care as well as being the super organised head travelling groom for the show jumping team!
EMILY LOWE
Emily has been an invaluable member of the Platinum Stud team for over 6 years. Her dedication and work ethic shines through all she does. Under the guidance and training of Jade & Angus, Emily has gone on to successfully compete in Dressage on her own horse Bea and a livery based with us called Ollie, owned by Rebecca Markwick. Emily runs the yard like clockwork and we would be lost without her!
Ellie Robinson
Having been involved with horses from a young age, Ellie has been a member of the team for 2 years and helps support the yard part time. Ellie runs her own business as a vet physio and owns and competes her own horses Enigma & Boston Lucky Rose in Dressage.
Emma Nicholson
Emma has been a member of the team for years and helps support the yard at the weekends. Emma works full time as a teacher and owns and competes her own horse Roo. Emma is a fantastic member of our team.
